Who are we?

Most of us are atheists or agnostics, but theists are free to chat here too. We come from a variety of backgrounds, and among us are as many different  philosophical outlooks as there are chatters. The room is regularly visited by self described atheists, theists, agnostics, pagans.

What do we chat about?

Whatever comes to mind. Moderators usually post suggested topics, but by no means should chatters feel restricted to those topics. We regularly engage in philosophical, political, and religious discussions, and many of us enjoy spirited debate. Sometimes we like to chat about fun topics, too, like movies, music, books, games, or pets. If there’s something you want to chat about, just say so.

Why are we here?

It can be hard to meet atheists. People don’t normally talk about religion on more than a superficial level. When they do, there can be bad consequences for saying “I’m an atheist.” Here, you can proudly proclaim your skepticism, and meet others who reject the supernatural.
